Dear 3 / 4 K,

The Grade 3 / 4 Unit is lucky enough to be able to attend a Footy Clinic on Tuesday 10th of March which will be run by players from the St. Kilda Football Club.  It is free.  All you need to do is to bring back the Walking Excursion form which I will give to you today.

Dazzler Lunch money and forms are due tomorrow.

Don’t forget that the homework about the shield on the Australian Coat of Arms is due by 8.45 tomorrow morning.  I can give you a sheet if you would do not have access to a computer or the internet.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Wednesday 25th February, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Welcome to Josh who starts in our classroom today.  He will be with us for the first 2 hours of the day.  Josh will also spend recess in the yard as well.

Welcome also to Miss Emma who will be with us until recess.

It was great to see so many children posting their homework onto our blog yesterday.  The expectation is that you will write one thing that is on the badge for each state of Australia.  If you haven’t written one for each state then you need to do so by Friday morning at 8.45 am.  You can also take a photocopy of the information home and complete the answers on that sheet of paper and then bring it back to school before Friday.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Tuesday 24th February, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

It was great to see how you made our 2 new girls, Imogen and Rochelle feel so welcome at LRPS yesterday.

We will be getting a new boy in our grade as well.  He will be with us the first 2 hours of each day.

I will explain your homework and give you a chance to do some of it after lunch today.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Monday 23rd February, 2015

I have posted your very first homework task for the year onto the blog.  I will explain it later on today.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Friday 20th February, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be having Maths Rotations the hour before recess.  The groups are the same as yesterday.

You will be having your Friday Free Choice Reading session after our Maths lesson which is straight after recess.  I’m hoping that some children would like to share what we do with the other grades at our Unit Assembly today.

Don’t forget to line up at the poles near the Library after lunch.

We have a new girl starting in our grade on Monday.  Her name is Rochelle and she is in Grade 4.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Thursday 19th February, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Some of the children have changed Maths groups for our Maths Rotations.  I will go through the new list with you.  You have got Maths Rotations straight after recess so you need to have your Maths Book and pencil case on your table before you go out to recess this morning.

The Book Club forms and money are due back tomorrow.

If you would like a Dazzler Lunch in early March then you need to get your order in.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Wednesday 18th February, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

It was great to see you all post your first comment onto our blog yesterday.  If you didn’t post all the Australian states and territories in your comment you are more than welcome to do so at home.  This will give you a chance to practice posting.

I will get you to write your email address into your diaries today.

Next week will be the first week of homework and it is expected that everybody will complete it each week.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin
