Homework – Term 3 Week 1

This term we will be using OWIs (Observe, Wonder, Infer) to help us understand the books we read. When completing an OWI it makes us determine important facts (Observe), ask open-ended questions (Wonder) and make inferences for our questions (Infer). We present our OWI in a three column note with the headings Observe, Wonder and Infer.

Look carefully at the image below. What do you observe? What do you wonder? What do you infer?

  1. I observe that there is a cat and a dog i think the dog wants to play with the cat.
    I wonder if the cat is tired and don’t want to play with the dog at all.
    I infer the dog wants the cat to play because he got puppy eyes
