Monthly Archives: August 2016

Thursday 1st September, 2016

Dear 3 / 4 K,

There are a few things that are due tomorrow

  • Concert costumes
  • Homework
  • Book Club orders

It is also Casual Clothes Day tomorrow.  This means you can come to school out of uniform but you do need to bring a gold coin donation.  This is a fund-raiser organised by the Junior School Council and the money will be going to the Cancer Council.

Mrs. Robinson will be coming in this morning to take you for a Narrative writing session.  This will be very similar to the NAPLAN Writing test.  This will tell the teachers what we need to work on to help you get ready for next year’s NAPLAN.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Dear 3 / 4 K,

I will be in a Maths meeting all day today with Miss Crowe, Mrs. Symons and Miss Tomkins.  Miss Foster will be taking you for the day.

In the Computer Lab today you will be able to type up your Inquiry Question and Call to Action onto a document that I will print off and you can have at your stall for Expo.  You can do them on a page each or on the same page.  Please save them in your folder on the S Drive.

If you didn’t buy anything from the Father’s Day stall yesterday you can bring some money to school tomorrow and buy something then.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Your concert costumes are due at school by Friday.

Have a great day,

Monday 29th August, 2016

Dear 3 / 4 K,

The Father’s Day Stall will be held tomorrow.  You can buy gifts ranging from $2 to $10.

We are still taking deposits for next term’s camp.  Most of you have enough money in your CSEF account to pay for it.  We just need an adult from your home to let the office know to use that money and you will be able to go to camp.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Homework – Term 3 Week 8

Our Expo is on Wednesday next week.  Your homework is to write down your Inquiry Question and your Call to Action.

Character Emotions and Character Traits

Todays reading session will focus on the difference between Character emotions and Character traits.  It is also important to know the difference between inside and outside traits. Lets take a look:

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will continue with our Inquiry work today.  I was really impressed with the way you worked on Inquiry yesterday morning.  I am expecting the same work ethic today.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Thursday 25th August, 2016

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be continuing with on our Inquiry work throughout today.  It is very important that we use our time wisely so that we are ready for the Expo.

Unfortunately Harold’s helper Jan is not well so we will not be able to visit the Life Ed Van tomorrow.  Another time will be arranged for us to visit Harold and Jan.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin

Wednesday 24th August, 2016

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be spending quite a bit of time today on our Inquiry work.  Our Expo is only 2 weeks away so we need to make sure that we are on task with all our work so that we are ready to present it to the school community.

Those children who missed out on doing one of the On-Demand tests will be able to complete it in our Computer Lab session time today.  The other children will be able to do some Inquiry research.

Have a great day,

From Mr. Kilmartin
