Today is the last day of school for 2015.  We will be having our final assembly in the hall and then you will be dismissed from there.

We will be having our 3 / 4 Unit End of Year Celebration today.  We will be walking down to Newman Park at 12.15 pm (which is after P.E.).  You will need to make sure that you have your hat and that you have put sunscreen on.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

You will be having Art with Miss Hughes for the first hour.  Mrs. Joyce will then be taking you until recess and also for the hour after recess.

Don’t forget about our Walking Excursion to Newman Park tomorrow.  You will definitely need a hat and sunscreen.

Monday 14th December, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Our Expo is today.  It will be held in the hall and will go from 9.45 am to 10.45 am.  We will start setting up around 9.15 am.  I will give you a chance to have a practice as to what you are going to say before we set up.

The 3 / 4 End of Year activity will be having lunch and a play at Newman Park.  You need to have brought back your Walking Excursion form.  There are 2 children who haven’t done that.

We will be going to Mrs. Bradbury’s room after lunch to share our Writers’ Gifts with her grade.  This will give the Grade 4’s  a chance to see what is expected in the 5 / 6 Unit.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Today will be your last day of swimming.  It is Fun Day and we will be leaving at 9.30 am.

At some stage between 11.45 am and 12.45 pm we will be going to the hall to visit the Grade 5 / 6 Expo.

I would also like to give you a chance to practise what you will be saying at your Expo on Monday.

We have got our Assembly after lunch followed by Free Play.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be going swimming between recess and lunchtime today.

That will give us time to work on our Inquiry for the first 2 hours.  Today will be the last opportunity you will have to complete everything for the Expo, which will be held on Monday.

Don’t forget to do your homework.  Tomorrow is Free Play after our Unit Assembly.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be going swimming at 9.30 am and be back at the end of recess.  Mr. Barbour will give you 15 minutes to eat your snack and have a play in the Prep area before taking you for P.E.

At the computer lab today you will need to type up anything that you need for your Expo.  This may be to finish your information report or to type up a list for you Call to Action.  I will print everything off after school tonight.

Tuesday 8th December, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

You will be having your final Transition session this morning.  It will go from 9.00 am till 10.30 am.  Grade 4’s you will go to Mrs.Hammet’s room and she will take you across to the Senior Unit.  Grade 3’s you will go to Mrs. Joyce’s room and she will take you to the hall.  You will need to collect Mrs. Lewellin’s Grade 3 children along the way please.  I will collect all the Grade 2 children and bring them to the hall.

I will be giving you time between recess and lunchtime to work on Inquiry.  This will almost be the last time we will have access to the I-pads so please use your time wisely with them.

After lunch Mrs. Lewellin’s grade will be coming into our classroom so that we can share each other’s Writers’ Gifts.  I will talk more about this later.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be going swimming at 9.30 am.  I will give you 15 minutes recess when we get back to school.

This is our last week to work on our Inquiry pieces so I expect that you will make the most of the time that I give you.

Chelsea, you will need to go to ICT with Mrs. Hammet’s grade at 12.15 pm as you will be going to Marjorie Cole at lunchtime.
