Today is the last day of Term 2.  We will be having our lunch at 1:00 pm and then heading to Assembly at 1:30 pm.  You will be dismissed from the hall at 2:00 pm.

There will be a free BBQ Sausage Sizzle today for those children who had 95% or more attendance this term.

Don’t forget to bring back the forms and money for Beauty and the Beast.  It will be held early next term.

Also Homework is due tomorrow.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

It was great to see so many parents at the Parent / Teacher Interviews last night.  I look forward to seeing some more tonight.

The Attendance BBQ is tomorrow for those children who had 95% or more attendance this term.  I hope you gave your yellow slips to an adult last night.

The Alpha Show for this year is Beauty and the Beast.  It is early next term and only costs $7.  These shows are always lots of fun.

Tuesday 23rd June, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We will be going to the Grade 5 / 6 Expo today.  There topic is Parliament and we will have a talk about what this is before recess this morning.  The first part of the Expo will be held in the Hall.  We are booked to go from 11.30 am – 11.50  am.  We will then go to the Senior Unit for the second part of the Expo.  Our time is from 11.50 am – 12.10 pm.

Don’t forget you can go Mrs. Joyce’s room at lunchtime today to do your homework.

Parent / Teacher Interviews will be held after school today and tomorrow.  Everybody has been allocated a 10 minute time.

Homework – Term 2 Week 11

This is the last week of Semester 1 (Terms 1 and 2).

It has been a very busy time with lots of exciting things happening here at LRPS.  Your homework for this week is to write down 3 of your highlights for the year so far.

Monday 22nd June, 2015

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Today is Pyjama Dress Up Day and costs a gold coin donation.  It is a Junior School Council Fundraiser to help raise money for the children’s unit at the Latrobe Regional Hospital.

Parent / Teacher Interviews will be held tomorrow and Wednesday after school where we can talk about your school report.  These will be going home today along with a time for an interview if you have not booked one online.

Homework – Term 2 Week 9

Last Thursday we had Glenda Millard visit our unit. Glenda Millard is a famous children’s author who has written some great stories. During the visit she talked lots about being a good author and what a good author should do.

For homework this week, you need to write 3 things that make a good author. Think carefully about what Glenda Millard said.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

I hope you enjoyed your 3 day long weekend.

This will be a short week as Friday is a School Closure Day where teachers will be doing some planning for next term.

From today each grade will be getting a point for each child who comes to school out of uniform.  The grade with the lowest score across the whole school will win a reward.

You can get your homework done for this week by going to Mrs. Joyce’s room at lunchtime today.

It was great to hear Glenda Millard speak to our unit yesterday.  She was quite a quirky lady who had lots of interesting stories to share.  You will be brainstorming some of the writers’ tips that she shared with us this morning.

We have got Maths Rotations the hour before recess today.
