Friday 31st March, 2017

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Today is the last day of Term 1.  We will be having our End of Term Assembly at 1.00 pm and you will be dismissed from the hall at 1.30 pm.  Those children who brought their lunch to school will be able to eat it at 12.30 pm.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

The ‘Ghana Beat My Drum’ performance is this morning at 9.00 am.  Those children who haven’t paid will be going to Mrs. Joyce’s classroom.

You will be able to finish your Inquiry publishing today.  I am looking forward to seeing the finished results.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

Today is the last day that you can pay for tomorrow’s performance.

We will be spending a few sessions today working on publishing our Inquiry information., which includes our Computer Lab time today.

It has been great to see so many people doing their homework nice and early in the week.  Homework is due on Friday.

Dear 3 / 4 K,

The ‘Ghana Beat My Drum’ performance is this Thursday.  Forms and monies are due at the office.  This show fits in with next term’s Inquiry topic of Cultures.

It has been great to see so many children complete their homework on the blog so far.  I have been really impressed with the answers you have been giving.  Homework is due this Friday.

Mrs. Fenech will be taking you for the first half hour this morning whilst I have a meeting with Mrs. Van Rooy.

You will have Mrs. Cukier for ICT this morning as Miss Crowe is away.

You have got Maths Rotations after ICT.

Homework – Term 1 Week 9

This is the last week of Term 1.  It has been a very busy term which has included the following

  • Swimming Sports Carnival
  • Athletics Sports Day
  • Swimming Lessons at the Morwell Leisure Centre
  • Harmony Week
  • Read Alouds (Melu, Clancy the Courageous Cow, The Naked Penguin, The Frog Who Could Not Jump, Feathers for Phoebe)
  • Narrative Writing Lessons
  • Persuasive Writing Lessons
  • Maths Rotations focussing on Place Value
  • Length Lessons
  • Data Representation and Interpretation (Graphs)
  • Happy, Healthy Me Inquiry

Your homework for this week is to write down 3 events / activities that you thought were your highlights for the term and the reason why.  They can even be something that happened at school this term that is not even on the list.

Friday 24th March, 2017

Dear 3 / 4 K,

You will be able to type up the information you have recorded for Inquiry this morning using the laptops.

You will also be given an opportunity to finish off your Harmony Day work.  For Writing this morning you will be writing a few sentences about what you think Harmony Day means.

We have got Unit Assembly after lunch today.

Don’t forget that forms and money for the African performance are due on Monday.

We are having our school photos today.  The School Captains will come and get us when it is our turn  to have our photo taken.

There will be no Maths Rotations today.

Homework is due tomorrow.  Also don’t forget to bring back your money and forms for next week’s visiting performance.

Wednesday 22nd March, 2017

Dear 3 / 4 K,

We have got a visiting performance to our school next week.  The show is called ‘Ghana Beat My Drum’ and will be performed by Jonas who was born in Ghana, Africa.  Jonas is a musician.  This fits in perfectly with our Harmony Week activities this week as Jonas will be playing music from a different culture.  It only costs $5 and money and forms are due on Monday.

You will be able to work on your Inquiry publishing during our computer lab time today.  Some people will have to finish their On Demand testing.  I will explain what is expected of your Inquiry work after Library.

Our school photos will be taken tomorrow.
